
BIO
Alejandro Buera (Zaragoza, 1992) is a cinematographer based in Madrid. He graduated from ECAM, where he received the only scholarship of his class.
His work is part of a new generation of cinematographers seeking to redefine the visual language of contemporary Spanish cinema, with a strong focus on image as a narrative force.
He has collaborated with director Manuel Manrique on Una cabeza en la pared, nominated for the Goya Awards 2026, and its upcoming feature film adaptation, currently in post-production.
His films have been screened at international festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand and Bucheon, as well as major Spanish festivals including Seminci and Málaga. He has received more than ten awards for Best Cinematography, including the Premios Fugaz 2025.
He is currently developing new projects that place visual exploration at the center of the filmmaking process.
